Terms & Conditions
All stories will be read by Unuhi and judged by our panel. A cash prize of £100 will be given to the winning story.
Unuhi will contact the winner and confirm permission for their name to be credited in a press release to media, including social media, and credited in the published book on the Unuhi app.
The story must not infringe the rights of any third party. Unuhi Ltd accepts no responsibility if entrants breach these Terms and Conditions. Entrants agree to indemnify Unuhi Ltd against any claim by any third party from any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
The story must be an original piece of fiction and not an account of real events, past or present. However, stories can take place in periods of history or use real life experiences as inspiration.
Entry ends on 30th June 2020, 11.55 pm (BST). Any stories received after the deadline cannot be accepted.
Entries must be suitable reading for children aged 3-8+. Stories submitted must not contain any material unsuitable for children, including any obscene or offensive language in any language.
Entrants retain copyright of their submitted story but grant Unuhi Ltd a perpetual exclusive royalty-free licence to publish or broadcast (across all media) the work in full or in part.
Unuhi reserves the right to edit, adapt or translate the entry and retain copyright of the translated versions of the story in any language except the language the story was originally written in.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
Unuhi reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaches any of these Terms and Conditions.
Unuhi reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition at any stage.
Unuhi cannot accept any responsibility for any technical failure which may result in an entry being lost. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
Entry to the competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
Unuhi will keep the authors’ name, address and/or email address on our system so that we can provide updates about the competition. We may keep this data for up to three years and we may contact authors about a future competition. Our data is stored on Google’s Firebase servers. However, it should be noted that no method of storing or transmitting data electronically can completely eliminate the possibility of a security breach.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Unuhi will not share personal data with any third parties.
